The BBFI is a symptoms screener and a self-assessment tool designed to quantify binocular vision related symptoms without attempting to make a diagnosis. As symptoms are selected, a gauge progressively increases, reflecting the overall burden and pattern of complaints. The tool is intentionally non-specific, but higher scores suggest a greater likelihood that an underlying binocular vision issue may be contributing to a person’s symptoms and that further evaluation may be warranted.
